Friday 4th October 2024: Kokroachez, The Mighty Redox, The Hormones, The Cymbal Shards

Klub Kakofanny's 33rd anniversary gig will be held at Florence Park Community Centre and will feature a line up of local bands old and new.

Headling the show are The Kokroachez, one of the younger groups making waves on the Oxford music scene. This dynamic band have a strong original repertoire, played several music festivals over the summer, and are currently recording their debut album.

The Mighty Redox

Does the Mighty Redox need any introduction? Oxford's favourite punk hippies and longest running party band will be playing a high-energy eclectic mix of favourites old and new for your delight and entertainment.

The Hormones

The Hormones are an over 50's women's feminist punk band, formed in March '23 and based in Oxford. They will be playing a mix of punky covers from the likes of The Clash, Bikini Kill, and The Cramps, as well as some of their own original material.

The Cymbal Shards

Our youngest band of the evening, The Cymbal Shards, making their second appearance at Klub Kakofanney, are a young indie band from Oxford sporting guitar, bass, and drums, and playing all-original songs.

Florence Park Community Centre is located on Cornwallis Road, a short distance from the Junction with Iffley Road. Admission is cash only at the door, but once inside you can use plastic at the bar. The venue is all on one level and fully accessible. All ages are welcome but under 16s should be accompanied by a responsible adult. If coming by bus, it is very close to the Cornwallis Close stop on the number 46 bus route, or a few minutes walk from the Freelands Road and Henley Avenue bus stops on Iffley Road where there are frequent number 3 buses. If coming by car, on-site parking is restricted but kerbside parking available on the surrounding roads.
