KLUB KAKOFANNEY is Oxford's longest-running independent music promoter, run entirely by volunteers, and supporting live music in Oxford. We hold gigs on the first Friday of every month (except August), a New Year's Eve party, and a series of Sunday afternoon acoustic social sessions, presenting an eclectic mix of musical genres, experienced artists as well as up and coming new bands, both from Oxford and further afield, playing their own original music. [Obviously COVID19 has put a spanner in the works, but we'll be back]
Klub Kakofanney Reloaded
This collection features four Oxford bands which all last appeared at Klub Kakofanney back in 2015: The Illuminati, These Are Our Demands, Cosmosis, and Phyal. As far as I know, none of these bands are still active, but are a good reminder that there is a rich abundance of talent and artistic creativity in local music.
Klub Kakofanney Unplugged
Samuel Edwards plays and sings some of his orginal material for Klub Kakofanney, played from the living room, with a couple of Wheatsheaf flashbacks just for good measure.
Life during lockdown
The Lockdown Letters

The Case For Culture
The Wheatsheaf, a massively important independent venue, is under threat. We put together a document for our local councillors, about the case for supporting a culture of music and creativity in society.

The Video Sessions
Since we couldn't hold gigs, we started putting together videos from past Klub Kakofanney events, and also encouraged local musicians to record short unplugged sessions for us.
